You've taught me many lessons -
most of what I know.
You've painted with some colours,
yours are there to glow.
True Rose of Jericho
I wonder if you know
how it feels to let you go.
You've nothing to prove;
yet, by far you've thrived.
Don't fall behind..
please, hold on this time.
You're the reckless,
You, the laughter -
so intense;
You brought
You brought
the stupid things
not to forget.
Me, solicitor.
You, exhibitor.
I'm the visitor.
You're the host.
'Let me hold the door.'
'You know, it aint no womb
this empty room. Have a seat
on dusty chairs.'
I couldn't think of anything..
and so you swam with the sorrows
to please your inner cravings.
I wish, I dream
that suddenly your eyes are open
and everything comes into focus
for you.
But mine, closed and watery,
serve now as a dam;
They still clench the sights
of your hologram.
Ravens, ghosts, they reach the sky.
The light stops.
The air gets heavily stuck.
Here it comes, the end of what I know.
You've taught me many lessons -
most of what I know.
You've painted with some colours,
yours are there to glow.
You'll always be my teacher
and I'm not ever ready to say
'you were'.
