that the flower
whose reminiscing scent
taught me death
- for so long -
Amid palm trees and humid salty air
would later in time
teach me tenderness
And show me love
reframing all those elements
It confused me
you picking so many things apart
And the aroma you gave off
dazzling and numbing my senses
that perfume made me dizzy
from intoxication
Just to instruct me lust
And to blind me with dignity
took me a while to restore
from the madness of wholeness
but you've shield me
coming unannounced
And I don't see myself worthy
of your time
of your words
So I will always feel in debt
Since you're healing and a blessing
that keeps me zooming out
~
I'll forever be thankful
